Eligibility Criteria:

  • Project location: Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and/or Uttar Pradesh.
  • Developmental outcomes: Projects should deliver clearly defined, achievable, and sustainable outcomes.
  • Project timeline: 12 months or less.
  • Adherence to local legislation: Compliance with the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) requirements.
  • Application submission: Through the online grants management system, SmartyGrants.
  • Ineligibility: Staff salaries, cash grants, commercial ventures, international travel, sponsorship of non-beneficial events, and routine administrative expenses.

Application Process:

Interested parties can apply through the online grants management system SmartyGrants. The 2023-24 DAP Application Round begins on Wednesday, 17 January 2024, at 11:00hrs IST and closes on Tuesday, 27 February 2024, at 23:55hrs IST. Selection Process:

In addition to the stated criteria, projects with community contributions, tangible results, and the potential to catalyze further development are favorably considered. Successful projects are required to sign a grant contract, adhere to due diligence requirements, and submit progress reports.


Partner Obligations:

Recipients must ensure transparency, compliance with local laws, and adherence to health and safety standards. Child protection policies are mandatory for projects involving vulnerable populations. The High Commission expects recipients to comply with UN Security Council Resolutions against terrorism financing.
