One Future Fellowship: Building Leaders for Social Justice
Welcome to the One Future Fellowship, a transformative program by One Future Collective, a feminist social purpose organization committed to creating a world grounded in social justice and community care. We believe in nurturing intersectional feminist leaders who can challenge oppressive structures and contribute to the creation of just and equitable communities.
About the Program
🌍 Vision: To foster leadership that shifts oppressive structures and builds inclusive communities.
🌈 One Future Fellows: Individuals dedicated to working towards a feminist and socially just future. We value diversity across caste, religion, disability, geography, and more.
🌺 Inclusivity: Encouraging applications from gender and sexual minority groups, religious minorities, the Dalit-Bahujan-Adivasi community, those from disadvantaged economic backgrounds, individuals with disabilities, and others facing oppression.
Eligibility Criteria
✅ Location: Belong to any South-Asian country.
✅ Age: Above 18 years as of March 31, 2024.
✅ Identity: Identify as a woman, queer, gender-nonconforming, non-binary, trans, agender, or genderfluid person.
What We Look for in Fellows
🔥 Passion: A drive to understand and change oppressive systems while building alternatives.
💪 Purpose: Deep commitment to social justice, centered on intersectional feminist principles.
🧠 Capacity: Learning experience with social justice issues, either through academics, work, or self-learning.
🤝 Collaborative Spirit: Thriving in collective spaces, willingness to learn and work with others.
Fellowship Components
🔍 Micro-Action Projects: Fellows work on projects, implementing learnings in real time, individually and in groups.
🌐 Capstone Project: A compulsory project furthering social justice, can be pre-existing or developed during the fellowship.
🤝 Community Engagement: Cohort-based program fostering engagement with other fellows and a strong alumni network for continuous support, mentoring, and advocacy opportunities.
🎓 Coaching Sessions: 1:1 coaching for skill development, personal value system recognition, and actioning intentions. Five intensive coaching sessions with trained coaches.
📚 Rigorous Training: Weekly 4.5-hour sessions focusing on foundational knowledge on social justice leadership and specific skills, with participatory design and peer learning.
